LVMH Fashion Houses Céline, Loewe, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton presented their latest creations during Paris Fashion Week, infused with a modern and affirmed femininity.

CÉLINE

With a set of rotating bleachers allowing looks to be seen from different angles, Céline offered a reflection on women’s everyday lives. Creative Director Phoebe Philo tells the story of a modern woman with a sleek and purposeful allure. This season was very much about tailoring, with masculine jackets and straight coats with oversize shoulders and satin lining joined by draped jersey dresses. The looks were all showcased on Céline’s new Instagram account.

LOEWE

Loewe looks for the coming season explore femininity with a collection that enriches the House’s new formal vocabulary. The silhouettes were marked by more technical aspects like an oversize coat treated to be completely waterproof. Sumptuous gowns come in organza or with detachable balloon sleeves, while other pieces create asymmetric tension with unexpected volumes in Loewe’s signature material, leather.

CHRISTIAN DIOR

Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director for Dior Women’s Collections, explored the color blue, a favorite hue of Monsieur Dior. Delving into the Dior archives, she revisited the Chevrier look from a 1949 Haute Couture collection giving a contemporary look to jackets, skirts and velvet dresses. More sporty silhouettes reinterpret workwear with loose pants, blouses and washed shirts.

LOUIS VUITTON

For the Fall/Winter 2017, Louis Vuitton Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière transcended borders and frontiers to blend the city with distant landscapes. Masculine blurs with the feminine in his creations and a new play of stylistic lines emerges: great American sportswear classics and Slavic accents, inspirations from past fashions and translations into the world of today, urban classics and the pull of folklore.
